Air Oil Lubrication System
The air oil lubrication system feeds oil directly into the mixer block. Once in the mixer block, metered oil and compressed air are mixed and distributed to several oil-air lines. Inside the oil-air lines, under the influence of the compressed air, a continuous oil film is gradually formed from the impulse-fed oil. This film moves in streaks along the inner line of the oil-air line to the friction point. There, the oil is detached from the inner wall of the pipe or feed passage by the air pressure. The friction points are lubricated, cooled by the compressed air and at the same time, entry of contaminants into the bearing is prevented.
Advantages: Protects the environment – no oil fog polluting the surroundings -Precisely provides oil to friction points – Transports high viscosity lubricant – Easily monitored – Specially designed for high speed roller bearings – Extends service life of bearings
Applications: Great replacement for grease and oil recirculation systems in reducing heat – Keeps dust, water and harmful impurities from entering the bearing – Holds down costs when utilizing specialty lubricants – Use where friction points are inaccessible and oil only reaches it through spraying – Provides an ideal lubricating film between the moving surface – High speed rotational bearing (DN value between 250000 and 350000)
How to calculate DN value, please see air and oil calculated part).
DN value= D × N
D: Bearings middle diameter (unit: mm)
N: The bearings rotation speed (rpm)
For the example;
A=120 mm
B=100mm
D=110mm
N=25000rpmDN value=110 ×25000=2750000
